Yabby Lake Single Clone Pinot Noir Selection Tastings

This spring, Yabby Lake is excited to launch the inaugural release of its Yabby Lake Single Clone Pinot Noir Selection.

This limited release is a selection of six different pinot noirs from our vineyard, all from the 2016 vintage – each wine a separate bottling of a different clone of pinot noir.

When our vineyard was planted in 1998, a range of different clones of pinot noir and chardonnay were chosen for their suitability to individual parts of the site. This has resulted in a complex array of distinct parcels of fruit, each with individual personalities. For example, some clones are characterised by their delicate lifted perfume, and others for their intensity and concentration, or exceptional structure.

Guided by our wine team, visitors will be able to taste these six ‘Single Clone’ wines side-by-side and explore their individual personalities. A must for pinot noir lovers!
